How to update Bluetooth Scanner firmware via CipherLab Bluetooth Transponder?

Once CipherLab has released the new firmware, you will be able to download it from
GoBetween.

After downloading firmware from GoBetween, you can follow the instructions below
to update firmware for CipherLab scanners.

Some of the CipherLab scanners only support virtual com port, while some support RS232 and virtual com port. Please check what interface or cable you have with CipherLab scanners.

Required Files, Document and Applications:
1. Virtual COM Driver (If the scanner comes with the USB cable)
2. Progload.exe to load firmware.
3. .SHX file (Firmware File)
4. Setting Barcodes (to set scanner interface as VCOM or RS232)


Instructions for updating CipherLab Bluetooth Scanners by connecting the CipherLab
Bluetooth transponder.

1. The CipherLab Bluetooth transponder supports Generic virtual com interfaces. Please
scan the SetConnection and Serial Number barcodes on the Bluetooth transponder for scanner
connection.

2. Please scan barcodes below to set the Bluetooth transponder as generic virtual com port.

3. Please check and confirm that VCOM Port has been generated in Device Manager.

4. Please scan barcodes below to set scanner to download mode.

5. When the scanner starts beeping, please open Progload.exe on PC and specify the
RS232, COM Port Number, Baud Rate and locate the SHX firmware file; then click OK to
load firmware.
